Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 14, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains the policies and procedures of s.id. ("s.id", "we" or "us") for the collection, use, security, and disclosure of personal information about you. It also describes your choices regarding the use, access, deletion, and correction of your personal information.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how s.id treats personal information collected when you use or access s.id ("site") or services, features, content, or applications offered by s.id including but not limited to URL shortening services, microsite, QR code generator, and s.id/shop (together with the site, "Services"), or when you view or interact with s.id links (either our s.id links or one of the branded domains using our services). This Privacy Policy also covers s.id's treatment of any information about you that is shared as an s.id user with s.id.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to other business practices not owned or controlled by s.id, including websites, services, and applications of other companies ("Third Party Services") that you may access through the Services or individuals who are not owned, managed, or employed by s.id. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any Third Party Services you access or use.
2. Information We Collect
S.id may collect personal information about you from the following sources, as described in this Privacy Policy, when you (i) register for the Site and Services, through your user account with s.id, including registering through third-party social networking services (your "Account"); (ii) use the Services; (iii) view or interact with s.id links (either our s.id links or one of our branded domains) on third-party websites; or (iv) conduct transactions through s.id/shop as a Seller or Buyer. We collect the following types of information from you, some of which may be considered personal information under applicable law.
2.1. When You Register for an S.id Account
When you create an Account, we may collect personal information from you, such as name, phone number, company name, industry, job title, company size, email address, and your login information. If you create an Account using your login information from a third-party account, such as Google and Apple Sign In, we will access and collect personal information about you provided by the third-party account (which is based on privacy settings with the third-party account), so you can log in to your Account with us. We use your contact information to send information about our Services and communicate with you about your Account, your activities on our Site and Services, and policy changes. You can unsubscribe from receiving certain types of messages through your Account settings, although s.id reserves the right to contact you when we believe it is necessary, such as for account administration and management purposes.
For Sellers on s.id/shop, we also collect:
- Bank account information for payments
For Sellers on s.id/shop, we may collect:
- Identity number (ID Card/Passport) for additional verification
- Tax ID (NPWP) or valid tax documents

Some features of the Services allow registered users to provide their own content to the Services, such as written descriptions of URLs, comments, images, videos, and product descriptions for s.id/shop. Unless you request deletion of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy, all content you submit to the Services may be stored by s.id, even after you terminate your Account and may continue to be shared by third parties, as described in this Privacy Policy.
2.2. When You Create S.id Links
One of the features of the Services is the ability to create shortened uniform resource locators (URLs) of websites ("s.id link" or "s.id links"). Users can create s.id links without registering for an account. When you create an s.id link, s.id collects and stores the original URL and the shortened URL and, if you are logged in to your Account, we will associate that information with your Account. S.id also collects and stores your IP address, your geolocation data (which we derive from your IP address), the time and date when you shortened the original URL, and if you share the s.id Link on social networking platforms, the name of the platform and your link name on that platform.
2.3. When You Interact With S.id Links
S.id automatically collects personal information about interactions (such as clicks or views) with each s.id link created through the Services (either our s.id links or one of the domains using our services) on third-party websites. This information includes, but is not limited to: (i) IP address and location derived from IP address; (ii) internet or other electronic network activity information such as referring website or service; (iii) time and date of each access; (iv) device settings, such as browser type, operating system, and language; (v) cookies, as described below, and mobile advertising identifiers and (vi) information about sharing s.id Links on Third Party Services (collectively referred to as "s.id Link Statistics"). As explained in this policy, we use s.id Link Statistics to provide the Services, to understand and analyze how our services are used and to identify trends, and to detect, prevent, and deter malicious, fraudulent, or unlawful activity. Please see the "Information We May Share" section of this Privacy Policy for an explanation of how we may share information we collect when you create, view, or interact with s.id Links.

2.5. Other Information We Collect Automatically

2.6. Third Party Services
Some features of the Services allow you to share your content and s.id Links through your account with Third Party Services such as Twitter. If you choose to connect s.id to such Third Party Services, we may collect information related to your use of those Third Party Services, such as authentication tokens that allow us to connect to your Third Party Service accounts. We will ask your permission before you authorize this information collection by us. We will only use that information for the specific reasons given to us. We may also collect information about how you use the Services to interact with those connected Third Party Services. Note that Third Party Services may have the ability to limit the information provided to us based on your privacy settings on those accounts.
For s.id/shop:
- We use third-party payment gateways to process payments securely
- Credit/debit card information is not stored directly by S.id
- We may use third-party identity verification services for KYC/AML
To enable us to infer location from the IP address of computers or devices visiting our website or clicking, viewing, or interacting with s.id Links as described in this policy, we receive IP-derived location information from our third-party service providers. We also receive business contact information from our business customer contacts and prospects from our third-party service providers.
2.7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
S.id and its partners use cookies or similar technologies to analyze trends, manage the website, track user movements around the website, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.
Cookies are pieces of text that may be provided to your computer through your web browser when you access a website. Your browser stores cookies in a way that is associated with each website you visit. We use cookies to enable our servers to recognize your web browser and tell us how and when you visit our Site and use the Services through the web.
S.id cookies also enable s.id to track when you click s.id Links. Each s.id Link click is tracked using a unique identifier assigned to you in one or more cookies stored by your web browser and associated with s.id. We may associate the unique identifier in our cookies with other information we automatically collect when you use the Services, as described above, including your IP address, s.id Links you click, s.id Links you create, and information with your Account if you have one.
For s.id/shop, cookies are also used for:
- Storing items in shopping cart
- Remembering search preferences and filters
- Personalizing product recommendations
- Shopping behavior analytics
Most browsers have an option to turn off the cookie feature, which will prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, as well as (depending on the sophistication of your browser software) allowing you to decide on acceptance of each new cookie in various ways. If you disable cookies, you will not be able to use some features of the Services. We do not currently recognize "do-not-track" signals.
We partner with third parties to track utilization and behavior on the Site, and to manage our advertising on other websites. Our third-party partners may use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, or similar technologies to provide you with advertising based on your browsing activities and interests. If you wish to opt out of interest-based advertising, click here (https://preferences-mgr.trustarc.com/) or if located in the European Union, click here (https://www.youronlinechoices.eu/).
This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by s.id only and does not cover the use of cookies by any Third Party Services. S.id does not control when or how third parties place cookies on your computer, such as when you visit a website through s.id Links. You can manage other companies' cookies used for online advertising by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance Consumer Choice Page (http://www.aboutads.info/choices/).
2.8. Opt-out Mechanisms
You can request s.id not to associate your web browser or IP address with visits to the s.id website or s.id Links you create or click by clicking the appropriate link below. If you want to opt out of s.id Links, please click the opt-out option for s.id Links below. This will install a cookie in your browser that instructs our servers not to associate your IP address and browser with s.id Links you create, click, or view. If you delete cookies in your browser, you must click the opt-out option again each time you delete your cookies. To be clear, this cookie-based opt-out must be performed on each device and browser you wish to opt out. Cookie-based opt-outs are not effective on mobile applications. However, on many mobile devices, application users can limit tracking through their device settings. Please note that if you use this opt-out mechanism, we will still automatically collect the IP address of the computer or mobile device that clicks or creates s.id Links; we just will not associate it with your browser or s.id account.
Cookies on s.id Links: Click Here (https://s.id/a/optout) Cookies on s.id: Click Here (https://home.s.id/a/optout)
For s.id/shop, opt-out will not affect:
- Cookies necessary for shopping cart functionality

2.9. Note Regarding Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information of a child under 13 years old (or older as required by applicable law), we will take steps to delete such information from our files as soon as possible. s.id/shop is only available to users aged 18 and over or those with valid guardian permission.

We may use the information we collect to infer that a unique individual has created or interacted with s.id links on different devices so we can detect, prevent, and deter malicious, fraudulent, or unlawful activity and analyze how users use our Services. For example, if you create an s.id Link on a computer connected to your home WiFi network, and you immediately thereafter click an s.id Link on a mobile device connected to the same WiFi network, we may infer that one person created and clicked the s.id Link because both events are associated with the same IP address within the same time period.
For s.id/shop, this also helps:
- Synchronize shopping cart across devices
- Detect suspicious transactions from multiple devices
- Seamless shopping experience
3.2. Other Legitimate Interests

In addition, we may share s.id Link Statistics with users to help them detect, prevent, and deter malicious, fraudulent, or unlawful activity.
4.5. Information You Choose to Share
When creating an s.id Link, you can share that s.id Link through Third Party Services.
